Snead State Director of Campus Engagement Graduates from ACCS Leadership Academy
Snead State Community College Director of Campus Engagement Brittany Goble recently graduated from the Alabama Community College Leadership Academy.
Established in 2000, the Leadership Academy is a one-year program for administrators and faculty members of two-year colleges. It is co-sponsored by the University of Alabama’s Colleges of Education and Continuing Studies, the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education, the Alabama Community College System, and the University of Alabama System.
Ms. Goble was one of 19 participants in the Leadership Academy representing institutions within the Alabama Community College System.
“I appreciate the opportunity to participate in the Leadership Academy. It is an asset for our college system. The program provides an excellent opportunity to network with other college professionals while building leadership skills that I use each day in my role at Snead State,” said Ms. Goble.
Participants are encouraged to take advantage of future senior-level leadership and management opportunities in postsecondary education. The core curriculum covers foundations of leadership, policy and governance, administration, the learning college, and leadership for change. The program also featured nationally renowned guest speakers and other professionals, campus visits, and a problem-based learning activity in which participants work in teams to solve “real-world” problems involved in educational administration.
