Snead State Freshman Earns Fourth Place at NATS Student Auditions


Snead State Community College had a freshman to place at the Alabama Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing Annual Student Auditions.

Austin Lee of Boaz placed fourth out of 13 contestants from colleges all over Alabama.  Austin was recognized along with the top three placed singers at the end of the Honors Recital at the auditions.

Snead State students Leslie Stogsdill of Geraldine and Courtney Lee of Boaz also performed in the Adult Women’s Musical Theatre and Classical categories and received excellent remarks on their performances.

All of the students study under Snead State Voice Instructor Dr. Barbara Hudson.

The student auditions were held Feb. 17-18 at Birmingham Southern College. Students of voice professors and instructors from colleges throughout Alabama compete in the auditions each year.
