Snead State Participates in ACCS Day 2018
Snead State Community College employees and students joined other colleges for the 2018 Alabama Community College System Day.
The College representatives traveled to Montgomery on Thursday, March 15, to participate in activities held at the Alabama State House.
Representing Snead State were Student Success Navigator McKayla Edmonds, Director of Admissions and Recruiting Tristin Callahan, and students Marlei Murray of Tuscaloosa, Emma Roberts of Boaz, and Madison Self of Sardis.
The group with the ACCS Chancellor Jimmy Baker and with Rep. David Standridge as well as other community college administrators and students. They also viewed the State House and Senate in session.
The purpose of the event is to give State Legislators an opportunity to meet with community college students and learn more about the impact community colleges have in changing student’s lives.
