SSCC Instructor Co-Authors Cybersecurity Publication

A Snead State Community College instructor collaborated on a publication within his field of expertise.

Snead State Computer Science Instructor Greg Randall worked with Jacksonville State University’s Dr. Guillermo A. Francia III to coauthor a cybersecurity publication.

Mr. Randall and Dr. Francia published the “Pedagogical Resources for Industrial Control Systems Security: Design, Implementation, Conveyance, and Evaluation” in the Kennesaw State University Conference on Cybersecurity Education, Research & Practice.

The publication resulted from a three-year National Security Foundation grant project. The NSF grant funded the development of course modules for training in Industrial Control Systems with JSU and Snead State.

“Normally a person does not get the opportunity to write for a scholarly publication without having a PhD, so I was excited to be asked to contribute. I owe my thanks to Dr. Francia at JSU for giving me this opportunity,” said Mr. Randall.

Mr. Randall has been with Snead State for 13 years. He’s an instructor of the Cisco Network Academy and Cybersecurity training programs.
