2012-2013 Lady Parsons Softball

Lisa Bright, Head Coach 

Coach Lisa Murray-Bright is entering her fourth year at Snead State Community College. She is going into her fifth season as the head softball coach. She also coached the volleyball team for three years. She is a 2003 graduate of Guntersville High School and lettered in both softball and volleyball. She played college softball at Gadsden State and then transferred to Marianna, Fla., to Chipola College and then finally transferred to Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss., to finish her collegiate softball career. She as an outfielder and was team captain her junior and senior year. She graduated in December 2007, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration with a minor in Health and Physical Education. Before coming to Snead, Coach Bright led the Veritas School, a private school in Jackson, Miss., softball team to a 27-10 record-breaking season. She is married to Patrick Bright, and they currently reside in Albertville. Her goal is to mentor, motivate, and provide leadership to student athletes in order to instill in them a set of core values that will shape their whole being and give goal-oriented direction in life, as well as competitive events.

George Rhoden, Assistant Coach

George Rhoden was born in Karlsruhe, Germany, and lived in Europe for 12 years. He and his wife, Kathy, reside in Boaz. They have one son, Chris, and two daughters, Lindsay and Danielle. He graduated from West End High School in 1977. He is employed at Federal Mogul in Boaz. He coached travel softball for nine years, was an assistant volleyball coach for five years at Sardis High School, and was an assistant softball coach at Sardis High School for seven years. He is currently entering his third year as assistant coach at Snead State.
