Snead State Community College has announced that
Grant’s Matt Holaday will be the new head coach for the Lady Parsons tennis
“We are excited to have Coach Holaday join the Parson
coaching staff. With his vast experience and knowledge, I believe he will be a
great asset to the athletic department and will join us in assisting our tennis
student-athletes to a promising future as college graduates,” said Athletic
Director Mark Richard.
Coach Holaday received two Bachelor degrees from
Jacksonville State University and a Masters degree from the University of
Alabama. He graduated from Guntersville High School.
Prior to coming to Snead State, Coach Holaday served as the
head coach for both boys’ and girls’ tennis teams for Guntersville City School
and Madison Academy. He will continue to teach at Guntersville Middle School.
He also had two brief stints as the head coach at the
University of Alabama in Huntsville.
“I am honored and excited to become part of Snead State, and
look forward to building upon such an outstanding program,” said Coach Holaday.
