

Snead State Community College provides educational opportunity for people who wish to attend college in the evening. The evening program is multi-purpose in nature. It offers courses to meet the needs of those who wish to complete the first two years of a senior college program or for those who wish to earn a two-year terminal degree in a specific career field. Faculty members who teach during the evening meet the same educational requirements as the faculty who teach other classes.

Snead State Community College utilizes the facilities at the North Alabama Business & Technology Center as an instructional site of the College. Various courses from academic/technical departments are offered at the site each semester. Courses offered at NABTeC meet the same academic requirement as on-campus courses. Faculty teaching meets the same credentialing requirements as on-campus faculty. This site offers a convenience to SSCC students who live in the western part of the service area.

County Instructional Site

County Career Technical Center in Cleveland as an instructional
site of the college. Various courses from academic departments
are offered at the site each semester. Courses offered at the
Blount County site meet the same academic requirements as on-campus courses. Faculty teaching at the site must meet the same credentialing requirements as on-campus faculty. This site offers a convenience to SSCC students who live in and around Blount County.

Through e-Learning, Snead State Community College is teaching beyond its campus into homes and workplaces to help students overcome the obstacles of time, geography, career, and family commitments. The e-Learning courses are based on the same instructional outcomes and objectives as on-campus courses. These courses have been developed using technologies to aid in student-teacher interaction and to enhance learning experiences.
Blackboard Online Courses
Blackboard courses offer online instruction delivered through the World Wide Web directly to the student's home or corporate desktop. Students receive instruction, interact with instructors, and complete lessons via the Internet.

Athens State University offers classes on the Snead State Community College campus for students wanting to earn bachelor's degrees. Athens State is now offering three degree programs on the Snead State campus. Classes in business administration, psychology, and elementary education can be taken at the Boaz campus, by teleconference, or online.
