Applied Business

The Applied Business Degree offers a broad range of knowledge with specializations to enhance your employability. The courses available in this program are available entirely online. Most courses are transferable for those wishing to transfer to earn a four-year degree. Multiple options are available for specialization. Financial aid is available for eligible students.

To earn an Associate in Applied Science degree, students may choose from the following specialty tracks. Short certificates are available in each specialty track.
  • Accountancy: Occupations-Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, and Auditing Clerk.
  • Agri-Business: Occupations - Farm machinery sales, Agronomy technician, Farm owner, and Agricultural supply store manager.
  • Childcare Management: Occupations - Manager of childcare center and Preschool or Headstart organization.
  • Finance: Occupations - Loan processor, Financial planner, Credit analyst, Insurance analyst, and Bank teller. 
  • General Business: Occupations - Customer service supervisor, Human Resources clerk, Accounting assistant, Small business consultant, Assistant manager, and Entrepreneur.
  • Healthcare Management: Occupations - Office manager, Medical administrator, Risk manager, and Case coordinator.
  • Logistics, Distribution, & Purchasing: Occupations - Shipping clerk, Dispatcher, Purchasing agent, and Traffic coordinator.
  • Marketing: Occupations - Art director, Sales supervisor, Public Relations specialist, Business operation specialist, Salesperson, and Market research analyst.
  • Management: Occupations - Administrative services manager, Office clerk, Management trainee, and Retail manager.
