Testing

The testing department at Snead State is located on the first floor of the Virgil B. McCain Center.  We offer both the GED and Compass tests.

The GED test is now all on the computer.  Registration for the test is completed by the candidate online at www.ged.com.  Test dates, links for GED registration, and additional information may be found here.

The COMPASS exam is Snead State’s course placement test for students who do not have an ACT score for college admission.  The Compass test is offered Monday through Thursday from 8-1.  There is no fee for taking the Compass test the first time.  Practice information can be found at http://www.act.org/compass/sample/index.html.

The ACT test is also administered on the Snead State campus.

The Snead State testing department also offers a proctoring service.
